The annual festival of bugs kicks off Thursday at 11 a.m. at Festival Plaza in Shreveport's downtown. The festival is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily until Sunday.

The festival celebrates Cajun heritage and food with crawfish, music and contests through Memorial Day
